Overview
I am partnered with a large healthcare company that is looking for an associate corporate counsel to join their legal team! This organization helps connect care takers and family members find the best senior living homes for their loved ones. Their services are at no cost to the families and they have hundreds of senior living experts in almost every state assisting to ensure the best placement.
Responsibilities:
- Generalist role where you will take on a multitude of responsibilities
- Provide legal guidance to multiple departments around the business including HR, sales, etc.
- Occasionally work closely with outside counsel on litigation matters
- Review and adjust contracts as needed, keeping up with the different laws in different states.
- Assist with M&A as needed
Qualifications
- JD from an accredited law school
- Barred in good standing in any state in the US
- 4+ years of experience in the healthcare space both in house and private practice
- Hard worker - extremely motivated and ready to come in and hit the ground running
- Privacy, HIPAA, and compliance experience
- Experience coming from a sales/start up environment is a plus
