Position Summary:
The Manager of Business Development will strategically drive new business growth within the designated territory by leveraging strong closing skills and a hunter mentality. This role involves communicating value propositions, building effective relationships at multiple organizational levels, and actively pursuing new business opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Revenue Growth: Develop long-term relationships to achieve sales goals and drive revenue.
- Customer Partnerships: Foster customer loyalty and create strategies for account and margin growth.
- Sales Achievement: Meet annual sales targets while implementing effective pricing strategies.
- Opportunity Targeting: Identify and close large opportunities, positioning the organization as a key partner.
- Cross-Department Collaboration: Work with internal teams to ensure customer satisfaction and strengthen relationships.
- Product Knowledge: Stay informed on product offerings through training and meetings.
- Sales Management: Maintain accurate sales forecasts and report progress regularly.
- Additional Tasks: Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; laboratory experience is a plus.
- 3+ years of sales experience preferred.
- Fluid handling experience is preferred.
- Proven track record of exceeding revenue targets with strong negotiation skills.
- Strong technical presentation skills and proficiency in Excel and CRM systems.
- Excellent interpersonal, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Results-oriented, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple projects.
- Strong communication skills and willingness to travel up to 50%.
