Our client are seeking a dynamic and strategic Business Development Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in life sciences, a deep understanding of transcriptomics, and a proven track record in business development. This role will be instrumental in driving growth and expanding their market presence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Market Expansion: Identify and develop new business opportunities in the transcriptomics market, including partnerships, collaborations, and strategic alliances.
- Client Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including researchers, academic institutions, and industry partners.
- Sales Strategy: Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and market growth.
- Product Promotion: Promote their transcriptomics products and services through presentations, webinars, and industry events.
- Market Analysis: Conduct market research to identify trends, competitive landscape, and customer needs to inform business strategies.
- Proposal Development: Prepare and present compelling business proposals and negotiate contracts with potential clients.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing, sales, and technical teams to ensure alignment and support for business development initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, or a related field. Advanced degree (MBA, PhD) preferred.
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in business development, sales, or related roles within the life sciences industry, with a focus on transcriptomics, genomics or NGS.
- Skills: Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of transcriptomics technologies and their applications in research and healthcare.
