Director of Global Forecasting - Rare Disease
Boston, MA (Hybrid; must be on-site 3x a week)
I am partnered with a large biotech company looking for a strategic leader who can use forecast models and leverage insights to advise senior leadership on in-line and pipeline product strategy. This role will be responsible for guiding both short and long-term strategic planning and driving overall excellence across forecasting capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain an effective forecasting ecosystem and guide the development of globally aligned forecast models
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior corporate leaders, shaping key strategic decisions for franchises and brands.
- Continuously enhance forecasting models for therapeutic areas/assets, improving accuracy and scope.
- Leverage primary and secondary data to generate insights and refine commercial strategy for both in-line and pipeline products
- Present global strategic forecasts to senior executives for long range planning
- Support cross-functional partners by providing context and forecasting insights to ensure strategic alignment.
- Utilize and integrate new technologies to enhance forecasting effectiveness
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree required
- 10+ years of direct industry or consulting experience in the Pharma / Biotech / Healthcare industry
- Prior experience in a global strategic forecasting role
- Rare Disease experience
- Ability to work with and present to senior executives
- Experience in global markets; understanding of local market dynamics and data sources
- Proficiency in forecast modeling platforms
- Excel proficiency is required.
- Previous use of patient flow or related complex models.
- Experience using secondary data
- Experience managing competitive intelligence or market research projects
