Job Posting: Scientific Director - Medical Communications Agency
Location: East Coast, USA required (Remote with travel requirements)
Client: A global, leading medical communications agency is looking for a highly skilled and experienced Scientific Director to join their dynamic team. This pivotal role will leverage your extensive background in medical communications to lead and shape the strategic direction of their client projects. The role is a blend of publications, medical affairs and medical education and working across a range of therapeutic areas.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership: Guide the development and execution of comprehensive communication strategies, ensuring alignment with client objectives and scientific integrity.
- Content Oversight: Oversee the creation and review of scientific content, including publications, manuscripts, MSL materials, scientific platforms, publication plans and more.
- Client Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for key clients, building and maintaining strong relationships while understanding and addressing their needs and expectations.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including medical writers, editors, and project managers, to ensure seamless execution of projects.
- Travel Requirements: Travel to client offices (east coast based) and to the company's office as needed (travel will be required for this role; candidate must be based on the East Coast).
Qualifications:
- Experience: 8+ years of medical communications agency experience, including 3+ years at the Director level. Proven track record in medical communications with substantial experience in managing and directing scientific content across a range of deliverables.
- Location: Must be based on the East Coast (this is non-negotiable due to travel requirements).
- Skills: Exceptional leadership, project management, and client-facing skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
- Education: PhD, PharmD, MD or MS.
