The company's discovery platform is engineered from a team of award-winning scientists and are focusing on the exploration of previously untargetable proteins for drug discovery.
Position
The company is currently looking for a motivated and skilled Senior Research Associate to join its Neuroscience research team.
About You
As a key contributor, you will help drive experimental efforts to support target discovery and validation in Parkinson's disease research. Ideal candidates will have a background in neuroscience or a related field, holding a Master's or Bachelor's degree, and be driven by a passion for scientific inquiry.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct biochemical and cell-based assays to support the validation of new targets related to Parkinson's disease.
- Perform experiments using cell culture, molecular biology, and imaging techniques.
- Troubleshoot experiments, optimize protocols, and address technical issues to ensure the accuracy and reliability of experimental data.
- Keep detailed, well-organized records of experimental procedures, results, and protocols in line with company standards and regulatory guidelines.
- Support laboratory operations by managing equipment maintenance, procurement, and inventory.
- Foster a culture of safety by adhering to laboratory protocols and promoting best practices in line with regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
- Master's degree with 4+ years of relevant experience or Bachelor's degree with 6+ years of relevant experience in Neuroscience, Neurobiology, or a related field.
- Strong proficiency in cell culture techniques, including work with primary neurons and glial cells.
- Experience working with iPSC-derived cells and/or complex co-culture model systems.
- Skilled in standard cell biology and biochemistry techniques, including protein detection and quantification methods (e.g., ELISA, MSD), and enzyme kinetic assays.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and the capability to analyze and communicate research findings clearly.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in multidisciplinary teams.
- Detail-oriented and well-organized, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
- Familiarity with laboratory safety procedures and regulatory compliance.
