We are currently working with a Fortune 500 healthcare organization to identify an AVP of Business Development for their Pharmacy Benefit Management offering. This role requires strategic finesse, deep industry knowledge, and unparalleled relationship-building skills. It will largely operate as an individual contributor and has the flexibility to allow certain candidates to work remotely.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead sales initiatives and develop strategies aimed at enhancing business prospects.
- Establish robust relationships with HR heads, benefits management teams, and key decision-makers across organizations.
- Demonstrate exceptional acumen in navigating complex sales cycles associated with healthcare solutions.
Required Experience & Skills:
- Minimum 10 years' experience in PBM sales
- Track record of building and maintaining high-value partnerships with HR executives, financial officers, and other corporate leaders (VPHR, CFO, benefits manager, etc.)
- Subject matter expertise within PBM contracting, operations, market trends, etc.
- BS degree in science, business, health administration or similar (MBA, PharmD, or other advanced degree is preferred)
- Must be willing to travel 30-40% of time, as required
