Our client is on the lookout for a proficient Content Developer to produce engaging, customer-centric instructional materials. In this role, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining a wide array of user-friendly Instructions for Use (IFU) documents, such as Operator's Manuals, Quick Reference Guides, System Admin Guides, Installation Guides, Package Inserts, and more, specifically for advanced medical devices and software products. By collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will ensure that all instructional materials adhere to regulatory standards, enhance user experience, and clearly communicate complex information.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Partner with internal customers and subject matter experts (SMEs) to generate technical content.
- Develop content: write new material, update existing content, gather components from the content management system (CMS), and apply metadata.
- Draft design control documents for lower-level requirements and verify content accuracy.
- Make routine decisions, consulting with the department manager or lead project manager for non-routine issues.
- Plan and meet project deadlines and budgets, report on project status, and notify the manager of potential challenges.
- Oversee all phases of content development projects, including needs assessment, deliverables, timelines, content management & development, review schedules, and release activities.
- Help maintain art, photo, and electronic and printed document files to meet departmental and regulatory standards.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent education and experience.
Experience:
- At least 3 years of experience in content development.
Skills:
- Understanding of products and therapies.
- Knowledge of the medical device industry, regulatory affairs, marketing, linguistic, and publication standards.
- Experience in a highly regulated environment and creating design control documents.
- Experience working with localization project managers and linguists.
- Writing for a global audience.
- Ability to translate business objectives into technical content.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

- Proficiency in content management systems, XML, desktop publishing systems, and willingness to learn Astoria.
